POPCORN (w) HERBES DE PROVENCE Herbes de Provence Seasoning
Makes 8 cups
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 large garlic cloves, crushed
2 teaspoons Herbes de Provence Seasoning
¼ cup vegetable oil
½ cup white popcorn kernels
1 ½ teaspoons salt
⅓ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
1. Combine the butter, garlic and Herbes de Provence in a small saucepan. Cook over medium low heat until the butter melts. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Combine oil and popcorn in a heavy large pot. Cover and cook over medium high heat until almost all the kernels pop. Gentle shake pan so that popcorn does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Transfer to a large bowl.
3. Add salt, cheese and butter mixture to the popcorn, toss until the popcorn is coated. Serve immediately.
NOTE: Any type of hard cheese may to used.
