Creamy Slow-Cooker Oatmeal with Maple Bacon Sugar

Serves: 8

Ingredients:

  • 2½ cups milk
  • 1½ cups plain Greek-style yogurt
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup Lesley Elizabeth Maple Bacon Sugar
  • 1¼ cups steel-cut oats
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • ¾ cup raisins
  • 2 ripe pears, chopped
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped and toasted

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, Greek yogurt, water, and Maple Bacon Sugar until well blended.
  2. Spray a slow cooker with cooking spray and pour in the milk mixture.
  3. Add the steel-cut oats, vanilla pudding mix, and raisins. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover and cook on low for about 3 hours, stirring once after 1½ hours.
  5. Chop pears and stir into oatmeal during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
