Fruity Chocolate Dessert Bread with Cranberry Pomegranate Sugar

Serves: 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough
  • 8 ounces whipped cream cheese
  • ½ cup Cranberry Pomegranate Sugar
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Lightly grease plastic wrap and loosely cover the frozen bread dough. Let thaw at room temperature for a few hours until soft and slightly puffed.
  2. Roll the thawed dough into an 11 x 11-inch square on a floured surface.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the whipped cream cheese with the Cranberry Pomegranate Sugar until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly across the dough.
  4. Sprinkle dark chocolate chips over the cream cheese and sugar layer.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from one side to form a log. Place seam-side down on a lightly oiled cookie sheet.
  6. Brush the top with melted butter to enhance browning.
  7. Bake at 375˚F for 15–25 minutes or until golden and sounds hollow when tapped.
  8. Cool completely before slicing for the best presentation and texture.
