Fruity Chocolate Dessert Bread with Cranberry Pomegranate Sugar
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf frozen bread dough
- 8 ounces whipped cream cheese
- ½ cup Cranberry Pomegranate Sugar
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Instructions:
- Lightly grease plastic wrap and loosely cover the frozen bread dough. Let thaw at room temperature for a few hours until soft and slightly puffed.
- Roll the thawed dough into an 11 x 11-inch square on a floured surface.
- In a small bowl, mix the whipped cream cheese with the Cranberry Pomegranate Sugar until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly across the dough.
- Sprinkle dark chocolate chips over the cream cheese and sugar layer.
- Roll the dough tightly from one side to form a log. Place seam-side down on a lightly oiled cookie sheet.
- Brush the top with melted butter to enhance browning.
- Bake at 375˚F for 15–25 minutes or until golden and sounds hollow when tapped.
