Tandoori Shrimp Pasta with Cream Sauce

Tandoori Shrimp & Pasta Recipe

Featuring Lesley Elizabeth Tandoori Seasoning & Avocado Oil

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. raw frozen shrimp, thawed
  • 1 (5.3 oz) container plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp. Lesley Elizabeth Avocado Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Tandoori Seasoning
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 lb. pasta of your choice (penne, linguine, fettuccine, etc.)
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour (plus more if needed for thickening)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Shrimp: In a large bowl, combine thawed shrimp, Avocado Oil, Greek yogurt, and Tandoori Seasoning. Mix until shrimp are evenly coated. Let marinate for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: In a large skillet, cook shrimp over medium heat until pink and firm (about 2–3 minutes per side). Squeeze fresh lemon juice over shrimp and set aside.
  4. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter. Stir in flour to create a roux. Slowly whisk in heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a boil until it begins to thicken.
  5. Lower heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until fully melted and creamy.
  6. Combine: Add cooked shrimp and pasta to the sauce. Toss until everything is evenly coated.
  7. Serve: Serve warm, garnished with freshly chopped cilantro for a burst of flavor and color.
