This elegant and savory Spinach Garlic Roulade is packed with rich flavor from Lesley Elizabeth Oh So Garlic seasoning. With tender baked spinach and a creamy filling, it’s perfect for slicing and serving as a unique appetizer or a vegetarian main course.
Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons Oh So Garlic Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoons water
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well-drained
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup sour cream
- Optional: freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
- In a small bowl, combine Oh So Garlic Seasoning, olive oil, and water. Let sit for 10 minutes to hydrate.
- In a large bowl, beat egg yolks. Stir in spinach, hydrated seasoning mix, salt, and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the spinach mixture.
- Spread mixture evenly in prepared pan. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until set and lightly golden.
- While still warm, turn the baked spinach sheet onto a clean kitchen towel. Peel off the parchment and roll up jelly roll-style. Let cool.
- In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
- Once the roulade has cooled, unroll and spread the cheese mixture evenly. Roll it back up tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing.
- Optional: sprinkle with Parmesan before serving.
