Herbed Salmon with Jalapeno Cilantro Oil
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons Jalapeno & Cilantro Oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 salmon steaks
- ½ cup loosely packed chopped cilantro
- ¼ cup chopped fresh chives
- Fresh ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the red onion in 2 tablespoons of Jalapeno Cilantro Oil for about 2 minutes until soft and fragrant.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of oil and the butter to the pan. Stir until the butter is melted and combined with the oil.
- Add the salmon steaks to the skillet and cook over medium heat until golden brown on both sides and just cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side depending on thickness.
- Plate each salmon steak and top generously with chopped cilantro, chives, and freshly ground black pepper.
