Serves: 6
Prep Time: 15 minutes (plus chilling & freezing time)
Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

2½ cups ripe cantaloupe, peeled & chopped
3 tablespoons White Balsamic Vinegar
⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
¾ cup water, divided
3 tablespoons Lesley Elizabeth Mango Tangerine Sugar
3 tablespoons honey

Instructions:

Blend the Fruit: Process the chopped cantaloupe, White Balsamic Vinegar, salt, and ½ cup water in a blender until completely smooth.

Make the Tropical Syrup: Combine Lesley Elizabeth Mango Tangerine Sugar, honey, and the remaining ¼ cup water in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, for 2 to 4 minutes until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes.

Combine & Chill: Stir the cantaloupe puree and cooled syrup together in a medium bowl until thoroughly combined. Cover and chill in the refrigerator until cold, about 30 minutes.

Churn to Perfection: Pour the chilled mixture into the freezer bowl of a 1-quart electric ice cream maker and proceed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Freeze & Serve: Transfer the churned sorbet to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm enough to easily scoop.

Why Use Lesley Elizabeth Mango Tangerine Sugar?

This infused sugar blend adds a splash of bright, nectar-rich fruitiness that elevates the sweet, mellow profile of ripe cantaloupe. Combined with the tangy complexity of White Balsamic, Lesley Elizabeth Mango Tangerine Sugar draws out deep tropical notes for a beautifully balanced, artisanal flavor.

Tips & Variations

Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a light sprinkle of Mango Tangerine Sugar right before serving for an extra pop of color.

For an adults-only twist, top each bowl with a splash of prosecco or sparkling white wine.

No ice cream maker? Pour the mixture into a shallow baking dish, freeze, and scrape with a fork every 30 minutes to make a granita.
