HERB PARMESAN PITA CHIPS Traditional Italian Seasoning
Makes 32 chips
4 small pita breads, wheat or white
2 large egg whites
2 tablespoons olive oil
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon Traditional Italian Seasoning
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1. Preheat oven to 300° F. Cut each pita into 4 triangles; split each triangle into two pieces.
2. Combine the egg whites, oil, salt, and Traditional Italian Seasoning in a small bowl. Brush each of the pita wedges with the egg mixture, place on baking sheet. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
3. Bake until the edges of the pita triangle are browned and the topping is set, 10 – 15 minutes. Transfer chips to cooling racks.
